Who we are... The Missouri Whitewater Association has been around in some form since the early 1970s. Known then as the Arnold Whitewater Association, the MWA has envolved over the years to include not just conservation issues, races and boating trips but also clinics, boating trips and wonderful comeraderie. At present, the club has members in from all around the country What we do... Our main purpose is to introduce new paddlers to whitewater, provide training in technique and safety, support racing, and inform the public about whitewater issues. To that end, the MWA holds an annual clinic to teach river skills, hosts the annual Missouri Whitewater Championships, and holds periodic safety clinics. Meetings are held every other month.
