Brought to you through the efforts of Wet Planet Whitewater and the Headwaters Institute, along with all our other donors and sponsors that make this event possible, this annual event will take place on Saturday May 30th. Check the festival website for additional information. The Headwaters Institute and its associated network of educators strive to be the premier provider of natural history, conservation, and interpretative trainings for professional guides and those who enjoy running rivers. The seminars encourage and promote a deeper public understanding of the importance of healthy rivers and their watershed ecosystems from ridgeline to coastline.

Symposium
The symposium will start at 9 am at the Husumn Fire Station with an update on Condit Dam removal and efforts around the region to restore rivers impacted by hydropower. Presentations on salmon, climate change, wildlife, native plants, human history, and geology will also give participants a comprehensive overview of the ecology and human history of the White Salmon River. The symposium will close with a lunch catered by Cork and Bottle.

River Races
Informal river races will also take place on the Truss and/or Orletta sections and on the Middle and/or Lower. Check the website for details and contact information for coordinators or show up at the symposium to get the details. Courses will be determined closer dependent on the levels.

Evening Party
The evening party will be at Trailhead B+B, Troutlake, WA
