Come meet AW and Save Our Wild Salmon at Canoecopia
AW and Save Our Wild Salmon will be in Madison, WI for Canoecopia, the world's largest paddlesport exposition (March 9-11). We will once again be joining our friends from Patagonia who have graciously offered to host us. Stop by Patagonia's booth to learn more about AW's projects in the Midwest and one of our key national campaigns to restore the Snake and Salmon Rivers through the coalition Save Our Wild Salmon.
AW be presenting the Midwest Stewardship Roundtable. It will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2007 - 2:30 PM in the Alliant Energy Center Exposition Hall Board Room (upstairs). We will provide an overview and update on rivers we have helped restore in the Midwest through the hydropower relicensing process. In addition we will present an overview of some major dam removals that are underway in the West and our current campaign to restore the Snake River for boaters and salmon.
The discussion will be a roundtable format and we encourage participants to bring questions and issues.
Throughout the history of the natural world, water sources have been the centers of life, providing habitat and sustenance for animals and plants alike. Patagonia is proud to support groups like American Whitewater that work to reverse the destructive impacts of damming, development and pollution.
